Hammersmith (Live album)

Postby Another_Roger » Sun Nov 20, 2016 7:22 pm

This will be a special night for those who go. Hammersmith is a place that has a historic ring in a Queen fans ear. I wish that everybody who goes will have a blast!

And......
There will be a live album from Hammersmith. It was announced today. Should be great to have live versions of all the ANATO tracks. From what I can understand it will be recorded on the night and released. Will the mixing and stuff be up to standard when they do it this quick? Hopefully the sound will be good!

It's a double cd, first 100 buyers at the merchandise table get everyone's autograph on it. 30 pounds I think.

A little pricey, but if it was a double DVD, they'd sell 1000's. Many times over.
Not going to happen.

Actually somewhat curious about this. Anyone given it a listen?

We issued 2 or 3 tracks a night on the first tour in 2005/2006. You could collate your own live album, some preferred the tracks to the actual Return Of The Champions live album.

Will the download be available on iTunes? It doesn't appear to be there at the moment.

I have just downloaded it. It sounds great! Marc's voice is just extremely good. I love songs like Seasisde, Prophets Song, Sweet Lady, Love of My Life. 10 out of 10! But I still have a lot of the show left. Good Company is coming up next. :)

Is Francois still singing it? So good they are using his voice more. He's like a chameleon with it!

And a compilation (or about three, actually) of those tracks was/were issued in the USA, under the titles Silver, Gold, and Platinum Collection(s).

I still find it a bit of a shame that they edited out Under Pressure from the ROTC album. Would have been nice for it to be a "complete" show.

Might have to look into those, I'd like some more stuff from Q+PR.
