And you thought QAL's setlist was too safe! Just seen them once on the ANatO tour so sure this will be a good show too.

I don't mind them but greatest hits shows bore me.

Here is an interview about the upcoming QuEx show and his thoughts about touring with Q+AL from the QuEx musical director and extraordinary musician Tayler Warren:

They were rehearsing in Las Vegas before their tourstart. A little video with the new singer and an interview with Brian:

The US tour has started. Here are the first videos with the new singer:

I know, it’s not the best quality, but some of you might be curious, what they sound like now. I say, they need a bit time to jell.

I was dismayed at the line-up, only having 2 original people left in it, at least while Tyler and Marc are busy.
Plus the bit I watched on fb from their LA fox taping was bad all away around, but not the band's fault I guess.

Anyway, these videos are much more promising, and Brian Gresh is even more awesome than I remembered. Today is his Birthday, and I feel for all of them, having slept on the tour bus last night. From what I understand, that's going to be their home for their North America gigs. Man I hope their beds are comfy!

I like this singer. Didn't think I would, but I do. I think he has a problem in the higher range, but I like his embellishments at the end of a line, and I think he has a good stage presence.

I would still go see them if they were close, to support Brian and FOD for sure.

Watched those videos.

They look and sound just like the very thing that Roger was moaning about when he started this.

But, hey, money talks.

So, the tour is on. Is anybody going or has seen them already?

I haven't seen them but I've been checking the comments on facebook, quite a mixture, some really love it but some who were expecting it to be Marc aren't impressed. Interestingly a few who previously saw Marc with them and were mad he'd been changed went and said it was brilliant and they'd definitely go again, they like his energy and stage presence. The reaction is more positive than I was expecting judging from the comments at the time when it was announced Marc wasn't with them.

Down to see them.this Friday at GLive.

Would have probably preferred Marc Mattel up front, but still, I'll give the new fella a chance.

Hi, I went to see them at the York Barbican, they went down very well to a sold out house. The new lead singer, Alirio Netto, was excellent actually. He was not trying to be an impersonator, but delivered an energetic, powerful vocal. His interaction with the audience was very good too. The couple I went with said it was one of the best shows they had seen, which was high praise indeed.
The musicianship was great as you perhaps would expect.

I would go and see this incarnation of QEX again after having doubts beforehand.
