I'm not sure if you can really count Live Earth as proof that Genesis can sell out Wembley Stadium. Unless that's the joke.

Roger played that day as well.

"Queen star thinks making music with Adam Lambert is a 'great idea,'" April 18, 2016

"Queen drummer Roger Taylor reckons creating new music with Adam Lambert would be a "great" idea.

The band have toured live with the US vocalist for a number of months.

There has been speculation, however, that the group could make new music with Lambert.

Speaking to BBC Radio 6 Music in an new interview, Taylor said he wants Queen to consider recording with the singer.

He said: "Since we've known Adam, we've toured around the world and it's been such great fun that we haven't even thought of making any new music.

"I think it could be a great idea, and we should think about it."

Queen and Lambert are scheduled to perform at a number of European festivals this summer."

I think it would be a bad idea. Touring is one thing. Album would be another thing.

I think it's been pretty obvious - for a long time - that Q+AL will record together eventually.

Brian seems to be the one most hesitant to record...especially a full album. He realizes that The Cosmos Rocks was not well received and (probably rightly) believes that many Queen fans would not be open to an album without Freddie. Roger has always seemed game. Adam has always been non-committal and pretty much seems to leave it up to B&R.

Beyond that Brian is also FAR from prolific these days. How many full songs has he written since his last solo album? Not even a full albums worth. 1 1/2 songs for 46664 (being generous), 3 songs for TCR, 3 1/2 total songs for Kerry Ellis. 8 total songs in nearly 15 years. Roger took that long to write a little over an album's worth of material....2 songs for 46664, 5 for TCR, 11 tracks for Fun On Earth (ok 2 of those were along the way (Sunny Day or Woman (You're So Beautiful) and Unblinking Eye -- and of course the 2 that were brought forward Say It's Not True and Small).

Could they get extremely writing crazy again? Absolutely. BUT going on track record it's not certain.

With that in mind, I don't honestly think we'll see a QAL album. That's not to say we won't get any recordings at all. It's possible they do a single one-off recording - single, soundtrack recording, etc.

I dunno, do they really have to go "writing crazy" to come up with enough for a new album? Maybe 4 songs from Brian and Roger each, toss in a few covers maybe, dust off a track or two they got laying around somewhere that was never recorded (there's gotta be one or two of those, right?) But maybe that IS "writing crazy", for Brian at least.....

Anyway, I'm hoping it does happen, or at least that we get a few songs somewhere down the line.

Is Adam capable of writing songs?

edit: just checked the writing credits on his last album. He does get a writing credit on a lot of the songs but they are always shared with up to seven (seven?!) people.

Will they talk about changes from 2015 tour in interview or what.. I'd like to know if they'll bring other songs in the setlist and what will the stage look like... Maybe less show and more rock/oldies? (White Queen?? :p)

^ I *HIGHLY* doubt it. This is basically a tour of festivals. Festivals = More casual audience than even a Queen gig. They are going to stick to the hits even more so than the pure QAL gigs. Unfortunately.

I listened to Paul Simon on the radio this morning. He was talking about his new album. He sad every artist should accept that they are no longer relevant when it comes to having hit singles. So would a QAL album be done to have hits?

I can't really be bothered to say that 'I don't care'...but I will say it, just for the record and I won't ever make any other comment about it. It's irrelevant.
