Lucky you! I would be there if there were one day tickets on sale. :( Brussels is an easier option for me I think....still undecided.

Hey, I'm new here! :)

Was tempted to go to the Isle of Wight purely to see Queen + AL but decided against it due to the fact that there aren't any day tickets and I hate camping. Opted to go to the Brussels date with my dad instead. Can't wait! Haven't managed to catch any of the UK gigs thus far and the last time I saw the guys live was with Paul at Hyde Park way back in 2005. Shall be going to Switzerland afterwards for a holiday and I'm looking forward to check out the exhibition in Montreux :D

I hope you have a great time at the Isle of Wight, I went there in 2012 and had a brilliant time. Still hoping they announce some UK dates for the autumn even if that is being greedy!

I´m pretty sure i´ve read it somewhere - maybe the IOW press release- that the concert at IOW will be the only concert in UK this year for Queen+AL.

If I'm not mistaken it often it just means that they can't announce anything within a certain timeframe. I seem to think that Guns N' Roses were an exclusive at Reading 2010 and then they toured that autumn. That being said, it seems this is a short jaunt so it does seem that this is their only UK show.

I'd love a new studio record as well. I'm amazed there hasn't been a live album considering how quickly Return of the Champions got put out. I wonder if the less than glowing reviews for The Cosmos Rocks has put them off releasing new material under the 'Queen' banner. I mean Paul left after the record failed to do well so I wonder if that was just a coincidence?

Personally, I really enjoy TCR and I'd welcome new material. That being said, there's such a large back catalogue they could tour for the next few years and just change the setlists a bit without releasing new stuff.

So you'll be able to hear the QAL concert, but not see it?

"Queen talk about how they'll prepare for their Isle of Wight Festival set"
Friday, June 10, 2016 9:54pm by London Newsdesk

"Iconic rock band Queen and singer Adam Lambert will perform live this Sunday night at the Isle of Wight Festival and drummer Roger Taylor has revealed they'll give the slot that extra injection of passion.

During an interview with BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans, Taylor explained that he, Brian May and Adam Lambert are very excited for the event and can't wait to bring their show to the 100,000-strong crowd:

"We've been going all round Europe having some incredible shows and we're really looking forward to the Isle of Wight on Sunday, there's an incredible line up actually. It's kind of special. It's the only one in Britain. Of course... The Isle of Wight is part of our history, isn't it? The Isle of Wight Festival is a very special thing [...] it's going to be brilliant."

When asked how he will prepare for the set, Taylor added: "I'm going to get a couple of days good rest after last night, which was a big festival in Sweden, and hopefully bring a good voice and all pumped up for Sunday."

"I drink a bit of whiskey beforehand. I get very quiet before the actual show and noisy afterwards! Then hopefully loud during it... We just get focused really, we've been doing it for so long now. We'll give it that extra frisson of excitement..."

As previously reported, Taylor also opened up about the band's plans for after the event and explained that he will take them back to his house for a curry and some drinks."

The positive aspects of the Bxl gig are the beer, the chocolate and that it's indoors (been raining here of late). :) ;)
