Of course you do!
Some songs in these shows are better than others, IMO. Sometimes he even holds back on the high notes.
I think I'm done with streaming for this tour. I will wait for the videos to catch up. I'm still disappointed that three songs I love so much are no longer being played.

The periscope from the end of the catwalk was fantastic last night! I found it on Twitter and it was like being there live for the whole show although your view is limited to what is coming through that camera!

:rockedover: Ironic that you say that is like being there for this show.

"i didn't have high hopes for adam lambert singing as freddie mercury but boy was i wrong"

"Queen with Adam Lambert was fucking magnificent, beautiful show was not expecting it to be that good"

"I was there. I will forever miss Freddie and John, but I will defend this version for the rest of my life. They sound great."

"Queen + Adam Lambert is easily one of the best shows I've ever seen. Both visually and musically stunning. Unfuckingreal."

"To say that the @QueenWillRock + @adamlambert concert @barclayscenter was amazing would be the understatement of the year. Brilliant! #queen"

So is AL singing as Freddie? That could've been worded better. He is singing the songs, but not as Freddie.

I saw Q+AL in their previous tour twice. It was an extraordinary experience for a fan seeing them for the first time. I was literally crying at the opening notes of Now I'm Here in Madison Square Garden!

I was still blown away this time around, but I do think the set list (and pacing) were lacking. First off, from the opener to Killer Queen the band was kicking it solidly. I even liked Adam's modesty and him cheering Freddie on with the crowd. But his transition into Two Fux was awkward because he never said anything like "this song is dedicated to Freddie" or "this is a song on my next album" or whatever...it was just BANG here's our next tune, and I imagine many casual fans were unsure if it was a Queen song or whatever. But to be fair, I could certainly hear fans singing along to the song. But still, I feel it ruined the flow, and as we have said time and time again, I'd much rather have seen a Queen song there instead.

Of course, the band were tight and they seemed to be really enjoying themselves. God knows I was enjoying myself. I even got to go to the very front by the neck of the guitar by the final act of the concert. I felt very lucky that the couple next to me allowed me to walk past them. I asked nicely and they seemed more than happy to let me by. Yay!!!

I was super stoked to hear I Want to Break Free in the set list, and Get Down Make Love was actually a highlight for my friend and I. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the video in the background. ;)

But frankly, I felt let down when I realized they weren't going to play Spread Your Wings and It's Late. Of all the songs, those two were the ones I was looking forward to most. And they dropped them. Ugh. So compared to the previous US tour, I feel there were less deep cuts (I really missed In the Lap of the Gods Revisited :P).

I guess I sound really harsh...but my feelings are true. Don't get me wrong though, I had a hell of a time and I can't wait for the next concert! I'll be in Philly too! It's nice being a groupie for the weekend. :D

Lover Boy, I enjoyed reading about your experience. I guess you missed it but Adam introduced his new song by saying that he admired Freddie for many reasons but he did whatever he wanted on stage and didn't give TWO FUX what anyone thought about it!

No, I didn't miss what he said.

He still didn't introduce it as his own song. I liked how he did it on the Kimmel show instead. He actually said it was dedicated to Freddie. It flowed better then.

Loved your review. Glad you said the band were enjoying themselves! :D
By the way, you weren't harsh at all.
