"Ride the Wild Wind" Would be a good pick for the international hits EP.

As it peaked at No.1 in Poland due to radio airplay.

I'd forgotten all about that one. But yeah... that'd be a nice way to round up the rest of the "hits" whilst maintaining the core GH as UK centric collections.

GH III wasn't great. I actually bought the video before the album.

A singles collection would be good. All UK singles from 1973 onwards.

Something like this:

1.    Keep Yourself Alive
2.    Seven Seas of Rhye
3.    Killer Queen
4.    Now I'm Here
5.    Bohemian Rhapsody
6.    You're My Best Friend
7.    Somebody to Love
8.    Tie Your Mother Down
9.    Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy
10. We Are the Champions / We Will Rock You
11. Spread Your Wings
12. Bicycle Race / Fat Bottomed Girls
13. Don't Stop Me Now
14. Love of My Life (live)
15. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
16. Save Me
17. Play the Game
18. Another One Bites the Dust
19. Flash
20. Under Pressure
21. Body Language
22. Las Palabras de Amor (The Words of Love)
23. Calling All Girls
24. Back Chat
25. Radio Ga Ga
26. I Want to Break Free
27. It's a Hard Life
28. Hammer to Fall
29. Thank God It's Christmas
30. One Vision
31. A Kind of Magic
32. Princes of the Universe
33. Friends Will Be Friends
34. Who Wants to Live Forever
35. I Want It All
36. Breakthru
37. The Invisible Man
38. Scandal
39. The Miracle
40. Innuendo
41. I'm Going Slightly Mad
42. Headlong
43. The Show Must Go On
44. These Are the Days of Our Lives
45. Heaven for Everyone
46. A Winter's Tale
47. Too Much Love Will Kill You
48. Let Me Live
49. You Don't Fool Me
50. No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)

Actually 52 tracks with the 2 double A sides.

Plus an extra disc of album and non album b sides and international singles too, so a 4/5 disc ultimate singles collection. A bit like the awful singles boxsets but more than 2 songs per disc.

I think what is needed is a two volume set similar in vein to the Beatles Red and Blue albums each with the hits and maybe a selection of album tracks. How you would split it could prove difficult... maybe 73-82 and 84-2014?

The cover for vol 1 could feature the queen 2 image and vol 2 the one vision update 🤣👍

You forgot to include Flick of the Wrist, which was a double A-side in the UK. But given you included We Will Rock You, which was always a B-side here, I'll let you off as you've still got 52 there... ;)

Still, I'd genuinely love there to be a set that was literally just every official A-Side released during Queen's true "active years". Something like...

I think hat album was released due to ending their contract. The only good think that was released between 1999 - 2001 was Brian's Furia album.

GHIII I think is great but it feels a bit messy. Messy does have a good side because we get a bit of variety but generally messy isn't a good thing for Queen. GHI and II are pretty much perfect so it feels strange to get a third with such an odd compilation. The "Queen+" credit explains the messiness because it indicates a wider choice of music but Queen have enough of their own music for a third Greatest Hits without resorting to plus anything.

I actually like the Elton cover of 'The Show Must Go On' but I don't think it's needed on a Greatest Hits record. The 'Under Pressure' Rah Mix I've never seen the point of and 'Las Palabras de Amor' should have been on an GHII. George Michael's 'Somebody To Love' feels right however. I think it's a good version and it represents the tribute concert on the album.

Maybe 'The Great Pretender' and 'Driven By You' shouldn't be on a Queen Hits album but it's nice to hear them anyway. The highlight of the whole record for me is 'No-One but You (Only the Good Die Young)'. I could find as many faults in GHIII as there are songs but on the whole I actually love it and the video version is played often on my tv.

This is what I would do if Queen were to release a new compilation spanning their entire career:

I'd call it "Retrospective: The Story of Queen" and release three different formats: 2-disc, 3-disc and 4-disc formats. Every format would include at least one song from every album therefore the 2-disc format would omit some hits but instead include key significant songs. Some songs will need early fade outs or need other elements cut especially later songs where they are typically longer. (Remember, the maximum length is no more than 80 minutes per disc.) But I'd want other songs with a longer outro to be cut short, so the album is consistent throughout.

2 Disc Edition - 40 Songs

Disc 1:
01. Keep Yourself Alive [US Single Version]
02. Seven Seas Of Rhye
03. Now I'm Here [Early Fade Out, cut approx. 12 seconds]
04. Killer Queen
05. Bohemian Rhapsody
06. You're My Best Friend
07. Love Of My Life
08. Tie Your Mother Down [Single Version]
09. Somebody To Love
10. Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy
11. We Will Rock You
12. We Are The Champions
13. Spread Your Wings [Early Fade Out, cut approx. 15 seconds]
14. Fat Bottomed Girls [Single Version]
15. Bicycle Race
16. Don't Stop Me Now
17. Another One Bites The Dust
18. Crazy Little Thing Called Love
19. Play The Game
20. Save Me
21. Flash [Single Version]
22. Las Palabras De Amor (The Words Of Love) [Edited Version; Faded Intro Cut and Early Fade Out, cut approx. 15 seconds]

Disc 2:
01. Under Pressure
02. I Want To Break Free [Single Version]

Reference The Liar (Single edit), as I understand it, Brian seriously hates it, so I'm not sure that' one will ever see the light of day again.
