Recently found this version of There Must Be More to Life Than This. I quite like it, actually! Figured we could also share our thoughts on the short lived collaboration between these two great performers. I think there was definitely something magical happening. It's a shame the llamas scared poor Freddie away!! lol

My favorite version of their duet of that.

Isn't this the version which was supposed to be on Queen Forever but got rejected by Michael Jackson's estate?

I don't think so. My guess is that this was a fan made mix of the track. What I do know for certain is that it's better than the garbage that was thrown on Queen Forever. With this version you've got both of them trading phrases (not entire verses -- which was a big mistake with the QF mix) and their voices blend together much better.

Yeah, this version walks all over the official mix. I can't stand the Queen Forever version but I like this a lot.

I dunno, this isn't the first time I've heard rumours that this is the Queen version subtly leaked onto the web.

First time I'm hearing of it. Regardless of if it's official or not, it beats the living daylights out of the Jackson Estate approved arrangement.

This version leaked almost immediately after Forever was released and Brian and Roger subtlety distanced themselves from the official mix.

If I were a betting man, this is where my money would be as far as a Queen mix is concerned. This is beyond a fan mix.

I didn't know it leaked around the same time. Interesting.

If this is the Queen version, I wonder why Roger isn't playing drums on it. And also why they settled for fake strings. As much as I love this version, it definitely needs some polishing up.

Wasn’t it leaked and played on the radio somewhere, perhaps a Canadian station?
