Just noticed that his sub forum is no longer on the board, can I ask why :? ?
All of his posts are now gone as well, except for 2!

It was removed months ago (June 18th) as he hadn't been on the forum for several months.

That's the first time that someone who had not been posting for awhile had posts completely removed from the boards. Will that be setting a precedent from now on? :?
I wish there was something said beforehand, I went to look for something in the Bee Gee's thread earlier and noticed that and more gone.

The whole thing was a farce in the first place and I said so at the time. Unfortunately the mods came up with the ridiculous decision and wouldn't back down from it. It was farcical and it was illogical...and now they have stepped away from that decision, hoping that no one would notice.

No, I don't think so.

This is Queenonline, and you are fairydandy. The two combined mean there is absolutely no hope on anyone's part that political issues can ever just be forgotten about.

We just live in the comfort of knowing that if everything was run by just one person's morals that the place would be in such mayhem that no-one would want to try and cut through all the spam and crap that would live here.

The whole place runs on one simple concept, and that's trying to give people the most freedom of speech, against a constant onslaught of a minority trying to abuse that level of freedom of speech. It's a compromise that unfortunately requires a small level of manual moderating, and that involves people physically making decisions.

In the case of one person raising numerical pointless threads on the same pointless topics, something patently needed doing, especially when they ignore advice to reign it in, and then actively go out of their way to by-pass whatever restrictions get introduced.

I feel quite sure that although in this particular case, it might not have been completely "right", and raises some questions, other realistic options might have raised bigger ones.

As regards it being a farce. Yeah, OK, it possibly was, to a degree, but if we didn't have the occasional one of those here, then you wouldn't have anything to comment on. Q+PR was a farce! TCR was a farce! And prior to going to WWRY, you thought that was a bit of a farce, too!

IMO what is wrong deleting the whole forum/99% percent of his posts. The reason given he hasn't been here in several months...erm ok, that makes sense :sarcasm: knowing that some posters have been away longer, and those posts remain.

Ice my little frozen love...they screwed up, they got it wrong and they have 'almost' admitted it. Let's celebrate one of the greatest climb-downs in QOL's history!! Who cares what happened to his daft posts anyway? :P

As they say in the WWRY musical, 'this is wonderful! Incredible! A triumph! The resistance
is vanquished! We've won!'

Being "not completely right" in retrospect, and the Watergate scandal you badged it up to be are worlds apart. Had you, at the time, come up with a workable solution that solved the problem, I'd probably be a lot more in agreement with you. The fact is, I don't remember ANYBODY chipping in ANYTHING that hadn't already been tried.

Anyway, it wasn't "my" solution, but in the absence of better ones, I thought it WAS something that had to be run with. I don't want to spend all my time here wiping other people's arses and cleaning up their shit, and you can't expect someone else to do it either, especially when one person is doing it at an extreme.

Royal was given a whole row of traps to crap in, but still decided to do it in the sink. Thankfully he was in a minority in doing that. Get a dozen or so of those on here, and either the measures would be more severe, or you wouldn't have a website that people could post on.

I still don't have an answer to my above question fd, it's bugging me more than a little...quoted it below since it seems to be ignored. Thanks for bringing this to light again fd, heck knows I didn't get an answer.

I don't understand in removing just about every trace of him from the boards, why on earth was that done? Has he been banned, or to put it another way allowed to post on the boards now?

"They" have admitted cock all.

I was giving my own opinion, and I think I said that it probably wasn't a perfect solution, but it wasn't a situation where a perfect solution was available. In a round-a-bout way, it achieved something that twenty or thirty other solutions failed to achieve anything.

Can Royal's thread about the Bee Gee's be bought back by any chance? I kept updating the thread about Robin's health.
