Candlelit Christmas Tour - 2016

Postby m.j.godley » Mon Jul 18, 2016 8:14 am

Good morning all,

Is anyone going to the Candlelit Tour of Brian and Kerry this December? Just booked my tickets for the Buxton Opera House.

I am guessing that they will be plugging Anthems II, however given the name do you think it will have a Christmas theme to it? I am thinking traditional carols, etc? Maybe 'Thank God it's Christmas'?

Me and my girlfriend are seeing them at the Warwick Arts centre in Coventry, one row away from the front right in the centre
My make up maybe flaking but my smile still stays on

I am going to Dorking Halls (got first row tickets) :D
I will fly to Stansted airport, so I guess I have to go to London and then take the train, isn't it? Anyway, there's a lot of time to prepare the trip. I've never seen Brian accoustic set live and I know I will love it. It's always good to have something to look forward too.

I WOULD go if they were any where near me. Sheesh. I'd park my butt right up next to them BUT noooo they are not even on the same continent that I am. It's hard for me to park my butt up there if they aren't any where near me. Sighs...maybe one day, eh?

Booked two tickets for Dorking Halls, transport isn't really an issue, the place is only about six miles from where I live, so I'll be home in bed probably before Brian's even hit the M25.

A rich musical heritage in this area, both 10cc and Godley & Creme started up studios around Dorking and Leatherhead, when they parted company, and I think both of The Police's first two albums were recorded round here too.
